"GLOBE" - spectacular construction made of Prolyte truss
It rises 10 meters in height, grounded on an area of 12 x 12 meters and is called; thanks to its shape, “GLOBE”. Teatime Concerts from Munich has created a spectacular and unique training area for aerial acrobatics with Prolyte trusses. The end customer is the artistry group Movimento of "TSV Grafing". They were looking for a way to resume training and show operations while respecting the COVID measures - outdoors.
For project manager Marcus Hüttl from Teatime Concerts, there were a number of requirements to be observed: The construction should get by without lateral steel-ropes as well as looking as light as possible. Nevertheless, a considerable load in the rig was desired so that several artists can train or perform at the same time. In addition to that, there should be enough loading capacity for light- and sound equipments or even a partial canopy.
"The aim was to create a construction in which the towers are at least 3 meters away from the 6x6 meter rig in the top of the dome so that the artists don't collide with the trusses," says Hüttl, describing the particular challenge.
And this is how the "GLOBE" came about:
The basic construction is built from H40R circular segments, and underneath a 6x6m rig made of H30V and H30D, which offers enough rigging points for artists and other equipment. In order to ensure maximum safety and stability, truss clamps were not used. All components are form- and forcefit connected to each another.
“The few special parts were developed by Teatime Concerts. Otherwise the construction consists exclusively of Prolyte standard parts, ”says Product Manager Jens Kannacher from Prolyte. "The result is convincing across the board: whether as a DJ tower at a festival or as a 360° open-air stage - the design is unique, timeless and looks so light that the" GLOBE "can be used for almost anything."

Sie ragt 10 Meter in die Höhe, hat eine Grundfläche von 12 x 12 Metern und trägt dank ihrer gewölbten Form den Namen "GLOBE" - eine spektakuläre und einzigartige Trainingsfläche für Luftakrobatik hat die Firma Teatime Concerts aus München mit Prolyte Traversen realisiert. Endkunde ist die Artistikgruppe Movimento des "TSV Grafing. Sie suchte eine nach einer Möglichkeit, in Coronazeiten ihren Trainings- und Showbetrieb wieder aufnehmen zu können - und zwar outdoor.
Für Projektleiter Marcus Hüttl von Teamtime Concerts gab es etliche Vorgaben zu beachten: Die Konstruktion sollte ohne seitliche Abspannseile auskommen und möglichst leicht wirken. Trotzdem war eine beachtliche Zuladung im Rigg gewünscht, damit mehrere Künstler gleichzeitig trainieren oder auftreten können. Zudem sollte es genügend Lastreserven für spätere Technik und eine Teilverplanung geben.
"Es galt, eine Konstruktion zu schaffen, bei der die Standfüße mindestens 3 Meter Abstand zu dem 6x6 Meter großen Rigg in der Spitze der Kuppel haben, damit die Artisten nicht mit den Stützen kollidieren", beschreibt Hüttl die besondere Herausforderung.
Und so entstand der "GLOBE":
Die Grundkonstruktion wird aus H40R Kreissegmenten errichtet, darunter befindet sich ein 6x6m großes Rigg aus H30V und H30D, das genug Hängepunkte für Künstler und Technik bietet. Um eine maximale Sicherheit und Stabilität zu gewährleisten, wurde auf den Einsatz von Traversenschellen verzichtet. Alle Bauteile sind kraft- und formschlüssig miteinander verbunden.
"Die wenigen Sonderteile wurden durch Teatime Concerts entwickelt. Ansonsten besteht die Konstruktion ausschließlich aus Prolyte-Standardteilen, berichtet Produktmanager Jens Kannacher von Prolyte. „Das Ergebnis überzeugt auf ganzer Linie: ob als DJ-Überdachung auf einem Festival oder als 360° Open-Air-Bühne - das Design ist einzigartig, zeitlos und wirkt so leicht, dass der "GLOBE" für nahezu alles eingesetzt werden kann."
