Staging Bharati Prolyte has supplied a complete staging system for the musical Bharati. Bharati is a musical extravaganza, a mix of varied dances, music and folk traditions of India, brought to the audience over the space of 100 minutes. After a trail period in Israel, the European tour for the Musical Bharati will kick off on January 26th in Paris. During the trials, the technical production encountered difficulties with the staging, not only was a building time of over 8 hours for 4 technicians required, also the excessive side loading, induced by a dazzling choreography, caused problems. As Jakob Sagiv from Silk, International Executive Producer, stated: “We knew we had to look for another staging system for the European tour, since we have had good experiences with Prolyte for other productions, we contacted them to design the stage and the special staircases”. Last week the Stage DEX staging system was delivered in Germany for a proof building at the set construction company Idee und Realisation. “Although we knew what to expect, we were still surprised by the easy of assembly of the Stage DEX system. With an inexperienced crew of 4 we set op the complete staging within 1,5 hours. This is tremendous, as it saves us at least 6 hours production time! Also the reduced weight of the staging system is a big advantage for a touring production” said Jakob Sagiv. The complete set for Bharati consists of 170m2 Stage DEX basic line decks, including a specially designed staircase, which is coupled with the standard CCS coupler which Prolyte also uses for their truss series. The allowed loading of 750kg m2, including a 10% horizontal (side) loading (complying to DIN 4112 and EN 13782) is enough to accommodate the complete dancing troupe.
