Concert at Sea launches Prolyte Main and crossbeam system The first edition of this new and unique festival, held on July 8, has been very successful. The Concert at Sea motto “Fun in the Sun” proved to be no empty promise. Lovely whether and the beautiful location on the Brouwersdam in Zeeland, the Netherlands were a guarantee for a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Over 60.000 people attended the festival. Bands like Blof, Ilse de Lange, Racoon and Novastar teamed up for over 6 hours of live spectacle. Spijkerman BV provided the complete staging and roof system for this festival. Spijkerman has worked with Prolyte equipment for quite a while now. The curved roof with extended rigging towers is one of the latest additions to their impressive rental stock of staging and roof systems. Spijkerman was also the first company to use the newly launched Stage DEX main and crossbeam system for this show. They use this new system to cover the Layher VIP deck with a flooring system. The Stage DEX main and crossbeams are special extruded aluminium profiles, which fit seamless onto the Layher/Plettac systems. The profile has Layher claws welded on both ends and can be connected simply by sliding the wedge over the rosette and inserting it into the hole. The Stage DEX main and crossbeams convert the Layher/Plettac measurements (1036 or 2072mm) into the metric Stage DEX system to create a floor on Layher/Plettac size. The beams have a wooden inlay to overcome the 72mm difference. By adding a special lid to the beams, you can create a Stage DEX floor on Layher/Plettac metric systems (2000x2000mm). Stage DEX main and crossbeams combined with a wooden inlay can be used as supporting frame when normal plywood is used as flooring system.
