Prolyte Catwalk truss for Blue Man Group

The Blue Man Group has chosen the Amsterdam Convention Factory for a series of performances, which will run till the end of April.

This unique location based on a historical site in Amsterdam, still breaths its history as former factory where ships engines and railway carriages were manufactured. This industrial setting blends in with the unique character of the Blue Man Group performance.

Dutch based rigging company The Rigging BOX were asked to make provisions for access to the lighting installation in this hall. For this purposed they installed 76m. Prolyte Catwalk truss in several sections. The rigging of the Catwalk truss proved to be quite complex, since only the side columns of the hall could be used as support points.

The Prolyft catwalk truss (B100RV-CW) is designed based on the B100V truss.

It is the ideal solution for larger venues, like sports arenas, to create a safe working platform for their technicians or house electricians. Further it provides a good alternative for touring rigs or installed mother grids, to create safe access to enable the servicing of your equipment.

The B100RV-CW truss is fitted with an extra handrail on top and a reinforced plate on the bottom side to create a walking platform. Extra diagonals, placed inwardly, provide extra stability. Assembling bracing bars with fixed lifting eyes to the bottom braces of the truss can fly the catwalk truss.

The Catwalk truss and other new products from Prolyte can be seen at the Prolyte stand at the Prolight and Sound in Frankfurt. Hall 9.0 stand E71.
