Safe Performance for any crowd

Prolyte Products Group will introduce a freestanding crowd barrier at the PLASA show. “In their complete range from truss and staging, Prolyte felt they should offer their customers the possibility to buy crowd barriers from the same, trusted supplier. The crowd barrier is a complementary extension of their complete line of products and lives up to the same high standards for safety and user-friendliness that apply to all their products”.

The Prolyte barrier is developed to use as safety device to control crowds in various types of events, ranging from pop concerts to outdoor events. The crowd barrier offers a combination of optimum safety and comfort for the audience and a safe working area for rescue personnel. As the crowd barrier will mostly be used as a demountable structure, the design criteria were such that set-up and assembly are quick and easy, needing a minimum amount of tooling.

The Prolyte crowd barrier is made from aluminium and weights only 35 kg. The smooth round top bar and the bottom bar incorporate a stainless steel 15 mm slot pin that easily connects the barriers. All profiles have soft, rounded edges for maximum comfort. All hinged parts have bearings and all connection parts are vibration free, using no metal-to metal connections. The bottom side can be secured using a hexagon socket head screw M 12 x 150 mm. The design load of the barrier is 4,5 kN/m1. The crowd barrier folds flat after use and can be staked in dollies for easy transportation and storage.

The crowd barrier is designed following strict design criteria, and complies with all health and safety regulations, such as; “Temporary Demountable structures”, “Technical Standards for places of Entertainment”, DIN 4113 and BS 8118.

· A dolly for stacking 10 barriers
