iLight works with Prolyte for Hala Febrayer Festival

15/06/2015

One of the most watched live TV shows of the year in the Middle East, Hala Febrayer, consists of five concerts over five nights with multiple artists performing each night. Produced by entertainment and production company Rotana Audio Visual, this year’s show was broadcasted on Rotana TV and held at the Kuwait Ice Skating Rink.

Some 80,000 tourists converge on Kuwait each February to attend the annual Hala Febrayer Festival, a month-long event, featuring performances by some of the region’s most popular singers including Mohammed Abdo, Amr Dib, Abdallah Rouwayshid, and Elissa.

iLight, owned by Vince Aghnatiyos, was asked to provide the complete AV, staging, engineering, and technical support on this year’s Hala Febrayer Show.

The highlight was a unique three-ringed concentric truss structure of 4m, 6m, and 10m truss circles that emulated a rose with lighting fixtures adorning the rings and Elation EZ6 LED screens representing rose petals. Lining the truss circles for added colour were Elation Beams and Spots lights.

The trussing for this structure was all based on Prolyte circular trusses. Furthermore Prolyte H30V in combination with an ST ground support system was used to fly the LED screens. For the rigging points ProLyft Aetos 1 tonne hoists were used.

For the stage structure StageDex BasicLine decks 2m x 1m and adjustable legs were used. In combination with custom made wooden-panel skirting, provided by Dubai-based company Unigraf, the stage looked stunning.

All trussing and staging equipment was provided to iLight through Provision AVL, the appointed Prolyte distributor for the UAE.

The Hala Febrayer concerts took place across three weeks in March and will be repeated on TV across the region throughout the year.
