JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective 
This sales manager position is responsible for the sale of the Prolyte products in a specified region, market segment or major geographical area, account management, coordinating vendors, and sales, and marketing support.

Essential Functions

  1. Establish, develop, maintain and serve as lead point of contact for all existing customers and prospects within defined sales territory or market segment
  2. Prospect for new customers by utilizing leads from inbound marketing efforts, tradeshows, research and existing databases in order to meet sales quotas
  3. Achieve sales annual sales goals which will be reviewed monthly, quarterly and annually
  4. Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profitability and maximizing sales margins
  5. Developed trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, and customer stakeholders
  6. Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  7. Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  8. Forecast and track key account matrix (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
  9. Prepare reports on account status
  10. Prepare, organize and give Campus-events to (potential) customers in the USA
  11. Assist with resolution of customer complaints by investigating problems and determine a solution along with Prolyte management
  12. Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
  13. Assists with the planning of sales exhibits/tradeshows or events
  14. Attend trade shows and participate in setting up booth and staging or test builds for clients
  15. Participate in education and training conferences on selling and marketing programs
  16. Consistently maintain and improve knowledge of Prolyte products, market conditions, and competitors
  17. Keeps informed of new products, services and other general information of interest to customers
  18. Checks on competitive activity and develops new methods of attaining resellers and assisting resellers in attaining new accounts
  19. Troubleshoots problems regarding products provided
  20. Answers questions from resellers and handles complaints
  21. Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and lift and/or move up to 50-75 pounds. The employee is also required to sit for up to 8 hours. The employee must be able to see up close and adjust focus.

When traveling or assembling structures, it is important to be aware of the work environment and aware of safety protocol. Protective clothing such as hard hats, safety shoes, or noise protection is required. It is the employee’s responsibility have knowledge of the site standards to make necessary adjustments from a safety standpoint. 

Expected Hours of Work

Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the “core” work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Prolyte office or warehouse. Evening and weekend work will be required as job duties demand.

Travel

This position requires up to 70% travel. Frequently travel is outside the local area and overnight.

Requirements of Position:

  1. Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Junior Account Manager, or relevant role.  (Production-) Industry experience preferred
  2. Demonstratable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-Level
  3. General technical knowledge and experience with temporary structures
  4. Experience with CRM software and MS Office
  5. Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
  6. Prove ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
  7. Excellent listening, negotiations and presentation abilities. Ability to communicate with customers, prospects, and all levels of staff
  8. Strong verbal, written communication and typing skills
  9. Ability to enter all customer information into CRM system, provide
  10. BA/BS degree in Business Administration in sales or relevant field preferred. but not required

Experience with building, planning or managing staging solutions a plus
