For this week’s 30/30, we’re going back to 1992. Where Prolyte installed one of the first big international projects. In September of 1992 Prolyte produced a giant aluminum butterfly for a discotheque in Berlin. The construction had a length of 12 meters and a width of 10 meters. What was unique for that time is that the butterfly could actually "fly".
The wings were hingable, so they could go up and down. It was supported by several hoists which made the wings moving possible. Before it was transported in two trucks to Berlin, the full construction was pre-built and tested in front of the first Prolyte production facility and offices in Leek. It was then successfully installed in October ’92.
Prolyte brings something new every year. Founded in 1991 in Leek, Netherlands, Prolyte has quickly become famous around the world due to its in-house expertise and of being one step ahead of the competition with a new mentality and new energy: “Prolyte. Feel Fantastic.”
