Our #throwbacktrussdays are back! This time we go back to November last year, when PROVISION AVL, our Middle East distributor, was part of a new and exciting futuristic development in Abu Dhabi: the mesmerising and innovative Pixoul Gaming, the first and only Middle East Gaming complex.
As a regional distributor for Prolyte Trussing & EXE Technology Chain Hoists and Control, the team at PROVISION AVL led by Paul Hadfield, called upon their impressive range of equipment and knowledge to provide long spans of open high-load trusses and state-of-the-art chain hoists of the highest performance and safety standards.
Paul Hadfield, Sales Manager at Area Four Industries Middle East, explains “when we originally began to work alongside the Pixoul team, we immediately understood their vision and future scope for use of the event hall, not only for high profile, global E-Sports use but also to provide the venue with solutions that would provide a multitude of possibilities in terms of live events, DJ events and product showcase launches”
Paul continues “the venue required long open spans with high capacity loading but with compact dimensions to not affect the experience of the attendees, with this is mind we knew that Prolyte’s BGR70 truss was the best truss suited to this application, couple that with S36 trussing suspended on EXE 1000kg D8+ Chain hoists and modular staging in the form of Prolyte Stagedex, this venue can be ever changing to suit each event”
The Project:
Pixoul introduces a world-class eSports and virtual reality experience in one single gaming complex. Visitors have the chance to immerse themselves in online gaming through the latest technology from a variety of virtual reality simulators.
Pixoul also includes the first-ever certified eSport academy in the region with the mission of highlighting the importance of playing responsibly.
